(President, Treasurer, and Founder)
I am a Twin Cities area resident who has suffered through every inhospitable Minnesota winter since 1975. Now, at 40-something, I own a 4-bedroom home that I share with my roommate, our five cats Poppy, Farrah, Penny, Trouble and Dot, and whatever foster kitties happen to be hunkering down here at any given time. I have a bachelors degree in psychology from the College of St. Scholastica, a Masters of Business Administration from Devry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management, and I currently work as an Accounting Associate for Summit Mortgage Corporation. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, biking, bird-watching, thrift store shopping, spending time with friends, wasting time on the “interwebz”, and communing with nature. My ultimate life goal is to leave this world with the knowledge that I did my part in making it a better place, and I would like to think that fostering an attitude of compassion toward animals helps to accomplish that in some small way.
Hi! I am a proud member of the Suzie’s Cat Refuge board. I also foster for the rescue and have 4 gorgeous resident kitties- Baby Kitty (13 yrs old), brothers Zorro and Casey (12 yrs old), and Grayson (the baby), 5 yrs old. I work full time for Nadia Cakes bakery in Maple Grove and the rest of my life revolves around my kitties, fostering (focusing on seniors), and spending time with my hubby. Adopt! Don’t shop!
Neva is too busy with her cats to write a proper biography at the moment. Please check again later for updates. Meanwhile, suffice it to say that she’s a super cool person, and a very excellent cat mom, and we are thrilled to have her on the team! 🙂
